Where We Get Stuff: Ink Pens

photo.JPG

Two questions that I always want to know the answer to when I get any promotional items from an organization is, "Where did you get this, and how much did it cost?" So today, I want to share where we get ink pens for our church.

The best quality pen we've found for a reasonable price is the Javelin Pen from 4imprint. We order a black & silver pen with a gray or silver imprint. The pens only cost about 25 cents each. We go through close to a thousand each month between Sunday services and all the other times pens are used and distributed.

Now you might have done that math and be questioning if that cost is worth it. Let me tell you why we think it is. What we spend in one year on pens is roughly what it would cost to get a billboard located in a highly trafficked area for one month.

The thing that makes thousands of ink pens better than a billboard is that pens are an opportunity for a conversation.

I've been handed one of our pens at a local grocery store to sign my credit card receipt. Imagine how many other people were handed that same pen over the course of the day, week, or month. Quality ink pens are an inexpensive way to equip people to increase brand awareness.

Another note about 4imprint: Their customer service is beyond incredible. On every ocassion I've worked with them, they've gone above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. When you place an order, you're assigned to a specific account rep who walks you through the whole process of turning in artwork and even double checks when you need the product in hand to ensure that you get it on time.
